Neil Summers is the owner of Neil Summers Outdoors. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but grew up right outside of Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating high school, Neil followed his dream of working outdoors to pursue a BS Degree in Turf Grass Management from Auburn University. He was offered a job at the prestigious Bell Meade Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee, post-graduation, as a Spray Tech / Irrigation Tech. After a year at Bell Meade, he was offered an opportunity to further his career in turf grass by becoming the Assistant Superintendent at Indian Hills Golf Course in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He then moved to Birmingham, Alabama to become the Assistant Superintendent at Pine Tree Country Club. He spent 5 years at Pine Tree before moving into the landscaping industry.
Neil has gained a wealth of knowledge about turf grass, irrigation, and turf pests throughout his years of experience. He is fueled by his passion for the outdoors and providing excellent customer service. When he is not focusing on creating beautiful outdoor spaces, he enjoys going on hikes and road trips with his wife, Amanda, and two dogs, Hank and Waylon.
